The Perfectionist Woman Syndrome
Years ago, I went through a long period of experiencing almost constant headaches. Blood tests. Medical examinations. Doctor appointments. One day, during a consultation at Memorial Hospital, I was chatting with a kind and fatherly internal medicine doctor. After reviewing my test results, he looked at me, smiled, and said: "There’s nothing wrong with you." Then he added: "You have Perfectionist Woman Syndrome." He was completely serious.
